Do you have family or friends who are from China or Hong Kong and you can't communicate with them very well? Are you finding that just speaking louder and slower in English simply doesn't translate well into other languages? If you want to begin learning how to speak conversational Cantonese then sign up for this class. Take this class and you will begin to learn the basics of Cantonese. By the end of the class you will have a vast vocabulary, you will be able to ask simple questions and you will know some polite greetings. You will also be able to count to 100 and beyond and you will have the confidence to begin a conversation in Cantonese... with a classmate. At the end of our summer class, the final exam will be a field trip into Chinatown to test out all that we learned and use new words, phrases and greetings with real Cantonese speaking Chinese people. This class will meet on Tuesday nights at 6:30 pm at the Church Office beginning June 28.
